The client brought a broken plastic car part that is no longer manufactured. Through 3D scanning of the original part and subsequent CAD design, we created an exact replica. We used PETG material for better heat and mechanical resistance. The result is a functional part that fits perfectly with the original.

Challenge

The part is no longer manufactured and no spare parts are available. The original is broken in several places and needs to be scanned and restored.

Solution

We used 3D scanning to create an exact digital replica. Then we fixed defects in CAD software and optimized the design for 3D printing.

Result

A functional part was created that fits perfectly and works like the original. The client is satisfied and the car is back in use.
